Joana Piriquito Santos spoke about "Negotiating in the shadow of anti-suit injunctions and interim licences" in Oxford
Joana Santos and Filipe Gomes attended the 12th IP and Competition Forum, on 13 and 14 January at the University of Oxford, one of the leading international forums dedicated to Intellectual Property and Competition Law.
The event brought together judges, academics, legal practitioners and industry representatives to discuss key issues at the intersection of the digital economy and technological innovation, including the global standardisation of technologies—from streaming to prospective 7G developments— in particular the challenges related to SEPs litigation and FRAND negotiations.
One of the highlights was the panel discussion entitled ‘Negotiating in the shadow of anti-action injunctions and provisional licences,’ which featured NLP partner Joana Santos. The panel also featured contributions from leading international experts, including Paul Brown, James Boon, Luke Maunder, Collet Rawnsley and Fabian P. Schubach.
