NLP partnered with GenH on Basel Immersion, a three‑day on‑site program in Basel that provides a structured introduction to Europe’s leading pharma and biotech ecosystem, including campus visits, working sessions with industry players and a keynote by Joana Piriquito Santos on technology transfer and cross‑border innovation in life sciences.
Basel Immersion was a three‑day program developed by GenH to give participants direct exposure to the Basel life sciences hub. NLP joins as a partner to support the connection between Portuguese life sciences stakeholders and the Swiss pharma and biotech ecosystem.
The program includes an evening session featuring a keynote by Joana Piriquito Santos, on technology transfer and cross‑border innovation in life sciences. This session is followed by a networking dinner that brings together Basel Immersion participants and Portuguese professionals working in pharma and biotech in Switzerland.
Over three days, participants will:
- Visit Basel Area campuses and receive a structured overview of the local innovation ecosystem.
- Meet biotech and health tech companies to discuss specific operational and regulatory challenges.
- Spend time at the Novartis Campus, with sessions on R&D and business perspectives from senior leaders.
- Visit the Roche Campus, focusing on research, innovation, strategy and long‑term value creation.
- Take part in a dinner with Portuguese professionals based in Switzerland, aimed at building working relationships that can continue after the program.
- Participate in a “real life in Basel” day, with practical information on living and working in Switzerland.
Through this partnership, NLP contributed with its experience in intellectual property and life sciences to a program that combines legal, technological and business perspectives in an international context.
