João Assunção attended the ECTA Autumn Meeting, which took place in Lyon from 30 October to 1 November.
As a member of ECTA and its Patent Committee, João Assunção participated in various working sessions and in the workshop entitled ‘Crafting European Geography – News and Case Law in the GI World’ and (of course) in the social events.
Founded in 1980 with the initial aim of creating an association of intellectual property professionals whose main interest was focused on trademarks and of becoming involved in the creation of a European trademark system, ECTA has since promoted the knowledge and professionalism of its members and owners in the areas of trademarks, designs, copyright, geographical indications and other intellectual property rights within the European Union.
